So, yesterday went really well. The day after Labor day was pretty successful. Today. Mid-week. Wednesday. Is the day I went crazy. Okay, not really, but it was a bad afternoon. I felt like I had to baby the kids every step of the way. I knew coming into 7th grade there would be a lot of that, but today I was questioning whether my patience (or lack there of) would last the whole year. My huge 6th hour class was the worst. My 7th hour (my favorite) could hardly pull me out of the funk! 6th hour they would just not stop talking. Warmup-talking. Spelling test-talking. Quiet reading time- guess what?! - talking. UGH! Just get to work! I'm always super nervous because I feel like half the students will not hand in their pre-test on Friday in order to take the post test. I found two on the floor after class. Grrrrrrreat!
As Enrique tries to pull me out of this mood with a little "I like it", I look at the heap of work on my desk and cringe. 2 days till the weekend? 2 days till my love? (Take that how you'd like). Either way, this weekend can not come fast enough. I can't wait till I'm like 3 weeks in and everyone is finally in a routine! Until then, there might be more posts like this. Sadly.
