ps. I love you

A great movie. And for someone special! :)
Actually. I hated that movie. Oh, well!

Real-Time Teaching

So, I can't help but laugh that my last post was about student teaching. I can't believe that was almost a year ago already. After student teaching, I was unemployed for a good 3-4 months. It was absolute hell; hated it. Then came summer. Filled with lots of work. Hah! I had two jobs, the long standing carferry and then I got a full-time job at the YMCA camp working with 9 and 10 years olds. It was a treat to say the least. Ha! The real reason I'm writing is because tomorrow happens to be my first day of being a real teacher. I feel like I have been waiting for this for forever and now, BAM, it's here. And I'm scared. Okay, not fully, but a little bit. Up until a week ago, I was supposed to be part-time at Lincoln High. Teacher quit, full-time, benefits, offer, me. Now, tomorrow, I embark on the journey of being a 7th grade teacher. Funny how I said I would never go younger than 8th grade, yet here I am. I'm actually very excited. I feel I might have to blog a lot more, if I have time of course, because there are probably going to be so many stories each week. I hope I can make it happen, but knowing me I will be too busy organizing my room and grading papers. If I don't write soon, I hope to at least write again at the end of the year! HA!

For all that care,
Miss Thayer
